Probably the most common type of low voltage lighting that can be used both indoors and out are the wall lights. These are commonly used on the front of the home next to the front door. They provide you with the normal amount of light that helps you to see who is on your front porch. There are some that can be used inside of the home to light up your office or living room.
Outside Wall Lights
The outside wall lights are usually used on the front and back porch to provide people with enough light to see where the door is and how to unlock or lock it. These are medium sized and come in a variety of styles. The most common of these is in the shape of a lantern. You can also find them in both modern and contemporary styles to fit your home.
These will cost you around $50 to $100 and can be found with different degrees of power and more or less illumination. Some will require more and will use these on their fence as a safety precaution. Others will not need much and will use it as an accent light and place it on their fence post or tree.
Inside Wall Lights
Inside wall lights are quite useful in areas where you do not have any space to place a traditional lamp. These are best used in places where people are working or do a great deal of reading. Many of these are designed with a special arm that allows you to pull it out to you or keep it against the wall.
Other types of wall lights used inside of the home are for decoration and will sit in the center of a small wall. These come in various shapes and sizes and can cost as little as $20 or as much as $400.
